| | Well, hello there old friends. I feel really bad for not keeping people up to date, but man has life been busy. Even my "days off" are busy (though much of that is self imposed, I'll admit). I am not real sure where to start, so I'll just hit some highlights.
First, if you haven't heard at this point, I'm making plans to stay up here... well... indefinitely, I guess. I don't really know how long that is, but I'm here for now and trying to figure out how to afford to stay (after my funding ceases). It's funny, a year ago, Canada was not on my radar so much. And now, I'm even thinking of whether I need to go back to engineering just to support myself up here. Kind of crazy, eh? In the short term, this is not a high possibility, since I do not have work status here in Canada. So, it will probably mean raising some funds. For those of you that know me, you will know how very highly appealing an option that is for me (if you don't know me, I'm very sarcastic).
However God provides for me, I am planning to continue doing ministry work. Where and how and with whom is still a bit unclear, though some recent happenings may shed some light. But, people are seeking God all around, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of people showing them The Way.
What else? Well, the last 3 or 4 months have been a blur, really. Tara came and went in the blink of an eye, but we really had a blast together... and I really miss her being here. I have a new schedule, new roommate, new duties, new Conversational English Class, new flip flops, new friends, new love for Indian and Korean food, new girlfriend, new school program, and... well, a number of other "new" things. It has been a lot of fun, but I'm not sure that I've had time to fully understand what all has happened over the summer. It seems like May was a long time ago, but the time has passed in a flash.
School here in BC just started up - thankfully, I'm on a break from classes myself - so things are getting very busy. It was quite interesting seeing the first days of school on two different campuses this fall. I'm doing work, now, both at Simon Fraser University and University of British Columbia.
ps.... Less than 2 weeks until Mattchews decends upon the city... nay, the nation.
